ShareASale and Linkshare affiliate marketing programs for website owners, bloggers and freelancers. Monetize your website using affiliate marketing strategy, a guide and how to.
I have not officially done a review on the differences
between ShareASale and LinkShare so I figured now is as good of time as any.
Both of these programs are excellent resources for website
owners, bloggers or freelance writers.
The programs are completely free to sign up for and both produce
incredible monetary results if used affectively.
How The Affiliate Programs Work:
ShareASale & LinkShare are like middlemen in the sense
that they connect you with hundreds of major affiliates but you don’t have to
sit around and wait to hit a whole bunch of cash out triggers because all of
your earnings are pooled into one lump sum.
This is great because I have many small sales with both programs but
once added together it ends up being a lot of money.
After you sing up for ShareASale or LinkShare you are able
to pick and chose which programs you want to join. They both have well over
1,000 a piece to pick from. This is an
incredible resource for people looking to make money because you can search by
category. So lets say your blog is about
discount fashion; you can browse each companies extensive list of fashion
affiliates. And what I really like is
that there’s so many of each genre of company to chose from. You can sign up for anyone from Wal-Mart to a
golf ball store to a paid to read email company.
Once you pick out a few companies you like, one of two
things will happen. Either
- You will
have to wait 24 hours to be approved by the business or
- You will be given
immediate acceptance and you can being earning money.
As soon as you are accepted into each program you select you
are able to pick out banners, pop up images, text link ads or you can just use
your referral link for each individual company.
Obviusly, if you pick a banner you can place it right into
your website or articles. If you pick a
text link ad you can also put it on your site.
But if you just decide to use your referral link you have many
options. First, you could write an
article about that particular company, second you can contextually advertise
and just place the link statically into your article or third you can you can
create Top 10 lists and sell your products (i.e. –find 10 companies that sell
handbags and make a Top 10 List of Affordable Purses and use your links for all
of them).
Affiliate Programs Payment
- ShareASale pays every time you hit $60. You don’t have to cash out, they just mail
you a check monthly. If you hit over $60
you get a check for whatever amount you have made. I make no less than $100 every month from
them. You have to remember that a single
article or link will earn you money forever as long as you create it
properly.
- LinkShare pays you every week or so. They also just send you your check. Their payments are made the following month
after earnings have been recorded. I
make about $100 a month from them too.
The trick to finding the most success with both of these
programs is to pick quality affiliate programs that you know you can sell. I like to write articles and use my links in
my articles.
Tips for Affiliate Marketing Success
- The more effectively you can describe the company you are
choosing to promote, the better
- Use
colorful words to refer to their products
- Base your articles on personal life experiences.
For Ex: if you were to
pick Luggage.com as one of your affiliate companies, you can create an article
that reads something like this –
“Vacationing is so much fun, but pickling out luggage for your vacation
is costly. Before my family could take
our vacation to Florida we had to
pick up some new suitcases. I searched
the local mall and several websites but came up empty-handed. Every piece of
luggage was too big, too small or way overpriced! Then I found
luggage.com. Not only do they have a
gigantic selection of suitcases but they are beyond affordable…” – get the
picture? Doesn’t reading that make you
WANT to check out Luggage.com?
In my opinion, writing an atticle is way more enticing than
just posting a banner or link on a webpage.
