Once you have your car rentals for Denver, CO
International Airport figured out and located a Hotel, it is now time to explore one
of the sunniest cities in the United States. That's right, as much talk
as their is about Denver possessing world-class skiing slopes, what is
often unknown to most is that they have as many sunny days on average
as any other US cities. The snow stays in the mountains; the sun is
left for the teeming life that comprises Denver, Colorado. If a beautiful view is what you are after, simply stand anywhere in the city and look around, as it is surrounded by mountains. If adventure is what you seek, Denver, CO is happy to oblige. Among the most popular area's to explore is the Denver Art Museum, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, Denver Museum of Natural Science, Denver Botanic Gardens, Coors Field (Rockies baseball!) and the Colorado history museum are just a few of the many fun things to do. The nightlife scene is just as active as the natural wonders that make this city so unique. The local bars and clubs are rich in history and some can be recognized by a younger audience who watched MTV's Real World Denver. The top partying spots include The Shelter, Bull and Bush Pub and Brewery, Pint's Pub, The Church, Rise NightClub and Gabors. If a skiing or snowboarding trip is what you seek Denver delivers in a big way. Keystone, Copper Head, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Vail, Loveland and Arapahoe Basin are all within reasonable driving distance. All of these resorts are a good time and it is suggested that you research which slopes will be best for your skill level. If it's the summer time kayaking through the mountains is always an option, as Clear Creek and the Arkansas River are a stones throw away. Depends on where you start in, but it can all be less an hour's drive from the downtown area. Just remember that no matter what you do, don't forget the suntan lotion. |
